An 18-year-old man from Fremont is fighting for his life after he was struck by a car in his hometown just after dark on a recent Monday evening. Fremont Police officers arrived at the scene to find the victim unconscious on the side of the road.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police reported that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be the cause and an investigation into the cause continues.
